| Well, the guard is kind of like the comic relief of any marching show. They are there to balance the overwhelming awesomeness of the band. |

Who's the guard? And why do we need guards for a marching show? I don't think any fighting will be happening, and aren't guards a little outdated? I thought we upgraded to police officers by now..... Oh wait, duh! This is Crawford County! We haven't progressed that far up the technology tree yet...

Besides..........back in the day there was no guard....back when my grandma was in the band....she thinks they are a waste of football field........no offense ;)
